Standard Horizon HX380 Price in Bangladesh

The Standard Horizon HX380 is a professional 5W commercial marine VHF radio with LMR channel capability, designed for users who need reliable communication both on the water and, where properly authorized, across compatible land-mobile radio systems.

Unlike a standard marine VHF handheld, the HX380 can be programmed with up to 40 Land Mobile Radio (LMR) channels from 134–174 MHz, with CTCSS and DCS signaling. This makes it particularly useful for marinas, ports, harbour operations, marine service teams and shipping-related businesses that need compatible marine and land communication from one handheld radio. LMR programming must be performed by an authorized dealer and is subject to the applicable frequency authorization requirements.

The HX380 provides selectable 5W and 1W transmit power, allowing users to choose higher output when needed or lower power for closer-range communication and battery conservation. Its IPX7 submersible construction protects the radio against accidental water immersion up to approximately 1 meter for 30 minutes.

With a 1750mAh Li-ion battery, 700mW internal speaker, NOAA weather channels, weather alerts and programmable scanning, the HX380 is built for professional marine communication where durability and clear audio are important.

Why Choose Standard Horizon HX380?

Marine VHF + LMR in One Radio

The biggest advantage of the HX380 is its ability to combine marine VHF communication with up to 40 programmable LMR channels. This can reduce the need for separate handheld radios for compatible marine and land-based operations.

5W High-Power Transmission

The HX380 supports selectable 5W and 1W transmit power, giving operators flexibility depending on communication requirements and operating conditions.

IPX7 Waterproof Protection

The radio is rated IPX7, meaning it can withstand submersion in up to approximately 1 meter (3.3 feet) of water for 30 minutes when properly sealed.

1750mAh Long-Life Battery

The supplied 1750mAh Lithium-ion battery provides up to approximately 13 hours of operation under the manufacturer’s specified duty cycle.

700mW Loud Speaker

The built-in 700mW speaker is designed to provide clear received audio in noisy marine and commercial environments.

NOAA Weather & Weather Alert

The HX380 includes NOAA and Canadian weather channels along with a weather-alert function that can provide an audible warning when relevant storm advisories are received.

Professional Scanning Functions

Programmable Scan, Priority Scan, Dual Watch and TRI-Watch functions allow operators to monitor multiple communication channels efficiently.

Technical Specifications of Standard Horizon HX380

Specifications are based primarily on Standard Horizon’s official product information and owner documentation.

Marine VHF & LMR Communication

The LMR functionality is dealer-programmable and requires the appropriate authorization for the frequencies being used.

Best Applications for Standard Horizon HX380

The HX380 is particularly suitable for:

• Marinas & Yacht Clubs
• Ports & Harbours
• Shipping & Logistics
• Commercial Marine Operations
• Fishing & Work Boats
• Marine Service Teams
• Harbour Security
• Boat Maintenance Teams
• Ship-to-Shore Support Operations

Its combination of marine VHF and programmable LMR capability makes it especially useful where authorized users need to coordinate between vessel-based and land-based teams.

HX380 Communication Range

Marine VHF communication is primarily line-of-sight. Actual range depends more on antenna height, vessel position, surrounding obstacles and propagation conditions than on transmit power alone. Therefore, a fixed “X km” range should not be treated as a guaranteed specification.

For marine applications, a higher antenna position can significantly improve practical communication coverage.

BTRC & Marine Radio Regulatory Notice

The Standard Horizon HX380 is a Marine VHF radio with additional LMR capability, rather than a conventional consumer walkie talkie.

Marine VHF and LMR transmission may be subject to different frequency and authorization requirements. In Bangladesh, users should comply with applicable BTRC frequency allocation, licensing and maritime communication regulations before transmitting.

The LMR channels should only be programmed and operated on frequencies for which the user has the required authorization.
